The South West Herts Consortium of schools is a prestiguous group of selective schools within the Hertforshire county. The schools within the South West Herts Consortium are Parmiter’s School, Watford Grammer School for Girls, Watford Grammar School for Boys, Rickmansworth School, St. Clement Danes School, Croxley Danes School and Queens Schools and students applying under the academic criteria are required to sit a Verbal Reasoning and a Mathematics exam. The 11+ exam workshops offered are tailored to the GL exam board content and taught by a highly qualified and experienced teacher. To give your child the best chance at passing their 11+ exam, the 11+ workshops gives tips, tools and techniques to support them whilst studying for the test and during the exam itself.
The 11+ Exam Technique workshop consists of two one-hour lessons focusing on preparing your child for the exam day. The lessons include tools, tips and techniques such as how to approach more challenging questions, how to navigate the answer sheet and question booklet successfully and specific tips and techniques relating to the GL exam board specification.
The 11+ Maths and Verbal Reasoning workshop consists of three one-hour lessons focusing on the Maths and Verbal Reasoning GL exam board content. The lessons include teaching, revision and examples of all 21 Verbal Reasoning question types and coverage from across the Key Stage 2 Maths National Curriciulum to ensure that your child is prepared for their 11+ exams.
